Question : How can I reduce office stress and tension?

In Details : I am working in a IT company and my hours are long, I am often stressed out and tensed. It seems that I will not be able to work longer with such stress and restless mind. Also my work needs me to keep seated for long hours. Any help?

I would strongly recommend that you get some physical exercise in the morning may be some Yoga, walking etc for 30 minutes. Also do some pranayama at home like Anulom Vilom.

At office when you feel stressed, try this relaxation technique: Breath in slowly & deeply through your nostrils. Fill your lungs with air, hold for a count of five then slowly begin to exhale through an open mouth. Repeat at least 12 times, more if you need to.

Get up occasionally from chair and do some light stretches and walk a little before you settle for work again to make the blood flow better.

If possible get a good body massage once a week.

Aim for 7.5 - 8 hours of sleep/ night.
