Suggested are some natural ways of treating blood sugar. Please try to give some more details like your father`s age, weight etc, whether he is insulin dependent or not etc.

1. Ask your father to do brisk walk for 30-45 minutes in the morning and the evening. This is very vital.

2. Mix the follow in a dry mixer and grinder
1 Fenugreek seeds(methi seeds)=100gms
2 Cinnamon sticks(daalcheeni)=100gms
3 Bay leaves(teej patta)= 5 to 6 leaves
4 Cloves (Lauang) = 7 to 8 pcs
5 Cummin Seeds (Jeera) = 2 tbl spoon
6 Big Cardamum (Moti elachi) 4 to 6 pcs
7 Black Salt(Kala namak) = 50 gms
8 black pepper(kali mirach)= 50 gms
9 Turmeric(Haldi powder) = 20 gms

Keep this mixture in a air tight container. Mix a teaspoon of the powder in a glass of water and add lemon juice and drink it empty stomach the very 1st thing in the morning. Can also take it after night dinner mixing with 1 T-Spoon with yogut(dahi).
3. Also eat raw garlic 3-4 cloves daily
4. Eat 1 raw onion every day with dinner.
5. Eat roti(chapati) and stop rice
6. Bitter Gourd is helpful for controlling diabetes due to its blood glucose lowering effects. It tends to influence the glucose metabolism all over your body rather than a particular organ or tissue. It helps increase pancreatic insulin secretion and prevents insulin resistance. Thus, bitter gourd is beneficial for both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. However, it cannot be used to entirely replace insulin treatment.
7. Indian Gooseberry (Amla) is rich in vitamin C and Indian gooseberry juice promotes proper functioning of your pancreas. Take two to three Indian gooseberries, remove the seeds and grind it into a fine paste. Mix two tablespoon in one cup of water and drink it daily on an empty stomach.

Please continue for couple of months for results.

Also if he is suffering from very high blood sugar it is recommended to consult a physician immediately.
